Seco test bars are primarily used for checking accuracy and to set the axes of the machine tool and tool presetter. Direct run-out between front part and taper is 5 μm maximum. Measurement values are tabulated on the accompanying data sheet and certificate of accuracy. Values and positions for diameter and length measurements are laser engraved on each test bar. The front leading edge can be used for optical presetting. Seco test bars are delivered in a protective case.

CAT / BT / DIN Spindle Test Bar Runout Arbor Steep Taper

The largest causes of excessive tool wear and tool breakage are machine tool spindle runout and excessive slop or axial play. The spindle runout test bar can be used to test your CNC machine tools for precise accuracy and proper alignments. Test bars ensure a stable production environment and consistency when moving jobs from one machine to another.

Spindle Runout Testbars are easy to use and they fast way to verify your machine spindle is running properly. Check them after a machine has been crashed and take the proper steps to prevent unintentionally making scrap parts.

CAT /  BT / DIN Testbar Tolerance and Accuracy

• CAT or ANSI are 10 micron or better
• BT are 0.003mm (3 micron) or 0.in. or better.
• Steel taper testbar arbors include certificates.

Retention knobs are not included. (use one from your machine, as they differ from one machine to the other.)
