How could I change the pictures of a Book Mockup like that?

I tried two ways:

1) I made an image of the same size as the book's cover and used the "Transform" feature to adjust the image onto the book. While the cover image was generally well-fitted, the three-dimensional and curved nature of the book resulted in some parts, particularly at the left and bottom sides, looking less than perfect.

2) I replaced the original image on the layer with my own, solving the curve issue. However, this led to a new problem: the text on the image was not transformed correctly, causing distortion. The new cover fits perfectly in dimensional terms, but the information on the cover became skewed:



Is there a way to replace the picture while maintaining the aspect ratio?

How could I bend the sides of the cover to match the 3D look?
